Rinat is an international student from Bangladesh. She came to Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Fall of 2012. Rinat, now in her fifth year, is enrolled in the five year accelerated program for a B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She has conducted research on differential effects of hydrocortisone and copper nanoparticles on cancer and normal cells with Dr. Neena Philips at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Currently, Rinat is working with Dr. Ish Kumar on finding site specific inhibitors for MMP enzymes. In the future, Rinat would like to work in a research laboratory and eventually obtain her Ph.D. and teach.
